Reiki I Class:
October 24, 2010 10:00 – 4:30.
In this course students will learn Usui Reiki Level I principles and techniques, as formulated by William Lee Rand, founder of the International Center for Reiki Training. Each student will receive the Reiki attunement, enabling him/her to provide Reiki healing work to clients, as an adjunct to a massage therapy session, or as a stand-alone energy healing session. Each student will receive a Reiki manual to use as a guide for future reference. The course will be taught by Reiki Masters, Gary and Deborah Lloyd.

Reiki II Class:
Sept. 26, 2010 10:00 – 4:30
Or November 14, 2010 10:00 – 4:30
In this course students will learn Usui Reiki Level II techniques, as formulated by William Lee Rand, founder of the International Center for Reiki Training, as well as review principles taught in Reiki I. Each student will learn several Reiki symbols and receive the Reiki Level II attunement. This will increase Reiki healing energies and enable students to do distance healing. The course will be taught by Reiki Masters, Gary and Deborah Lloyd.

Advanced Reiki Training
NEXT DATE TBD
This is the third level of training and can be completed without proceeding to the Reiki Master training. This class includes one additional attunement, increasing the Reiki power available to the recipient. In addition, the class will include information about more Reiki practices. Must have completed Reiki I and Reiki II.

Master Training
NEXT DATE TBD
This training is for those who wish to teach and attune others to Reiki energy. With this training, the student will be attuned to two additional symbols to enable them to attune others. There will be instruction and practice in providing attunements. Must have completed Reiki I, Reiki II, and Advanced Reiki Training.
Fee: $275
Deposit: $100
Pre-registration is required for any of the Reiki classes. Participants can pre-register by calling West Asheville Massage & Healing Arts at 828-423-3978. A deposit is required to hold a space in a class. If a participant needs to cancel, the deposit will not be refunded, but can be used towards a future course deposit. If the trainers need to cancel, the participant will be given the choice of a refund, or applying it as a deposit for a future class. The remainder of the fee is due on the day of the class.
West Asheville Massage & Healing Arts is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider for Reiki I and Reiki II. NCBTMB Provider Number 451065-09.
Jin Shin Jyutsu Self-help Workshop

In this workshop, students will learn touch healing sequences that release daily tensions, harmonize destabilizing attitudes, promote relaxation, and heal common 'dis-ease' (headaches, fatigue, allergies, etc). The class will introduce the history and basic physio-philosophy of Jin Shin Jyutsu, but primarily focus on hands-on applications and practice. Each student will receive a copy of the self-help book, and supplementary handouts. The course will be taught by Deborah Somerville.

Jin Shin Jyutsu Self-help Workshop
The 26 “Safety” Energy Locks
October 10, 2010 10:00-5:00
In this workshop, students will explore the 26 “Safety” Energy Locks upon which the body's life energy flows. By learning the meaning of, and how to release each “lock,” students will gain further understanding of how to harmonize, heal, and revitalize their own life force. The class will introduce the history and basic physio-philosophy of Jin Shin Jyutsu, but primarily focus on hands-on applications and practice. Each student will receive a copy of the self-help book, and supplementary handouts. The course will be taught by Deborah Somerville.

These self-help workshops are designed from the curriculum of Jin Shin Jyutsu, Inc, based in Scottsdale, AZ. Both workshops address how to understand one's self in order to harmonize and heal specific attitudes and physical conditions. Each class has its own textbook/curriculum, and it is not necessary to take one class as a pre-requisite for the other, although deeper understanding and the benefits of Jin Shin Jyutsu encourage continued study in order that students learn to “be their own testimony.”
Pre-registration is required for the workshops. A non-refundable deposit is required to hold a workshop space, with remaining fee due on the day of the workshop. If a participant needs to cancel, the deposit may be used toward a future workshop. Register by calling Deborah at 941-993-9594.
