Ethics in Healing Work
Next class: TBD

This class is divided into two 3-hour workshops (9:00 – 12:00 and 1:00 – 4:00). A participant may attend either one or both. Each class meets the qualifications for state licensure and two hours of Standard V: Roles and Boundaries of the NCBTMB Standards of Practice.  The focus of the morning workshop is an in-depth study of boundaries and professionalism in massage therapy and other healing work.  Participants will be able to describe the differences between boundary violations and boundary crossings and understand how strong boundaries lead to professional work with complete integrity.  The afternoon workshop will focus on developing a deeper understanding of the power differential between therapist and client and why self-care is essential to ethical practice.
